DUSHANBE, 14.07.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday at 16:00 local time, 77 Afghan citizens, including 26 men, 20 women and 31 minors, who were mostly Kyrgyz origin residents of the Andemin village of the Wakhan district of Badakhshan province, fearing persecution by the Taliban and in order to save their lives, crossed the state border in the area of Kyzyl-Rabot rural community of the Murgob district and entered Tajikistan, reports the Press Center of the Border Troops of the State Committee for be National Security.
Tajik border guards allowed entry to these Afghan refugees.
Currently, the Afghan refugees are in Andemin and Cheshteba areas of Kyzyl-Rabot rural community of the Murgob district. They brought their own livestock, including 1,000 small cattle, 300 yaks, 3 camels, and 30 horses.
Also today at 14:05, 51 Afghan citizens crossed the state border in the area of Kyzyl-Rabot rural community of the Murgob district and entered Tajikistan.
The situation in this area of the Tajik-Afghan border is under the full control of Tajik border guards.
